Los pronombres personales en ingles son palabras que podemos usar para sustituir el usar nombres y así evitar repeticiones y lograr hacer las oraciones más fluidas. Existen dos tipos de pronombres personales en inglés.

En inglés no existe la forma “usted” o “ustedes” de una manera formal como en el español. Por lo tanto, la forma masculina y femenina y neutra son lo mismo, lo único que hace la diferencia es el género.

  • I love to eat pizza. (Amo comer pizza)
  • I can speak three languages. (Puedo hablar tres idiomas)
  • I love to read science fiction books. (Amo leer libros de ciencia ficción)
  • I have a pet cat named Lola. (Tengo un gato llamado Lola)
 

★ You (tú/usted) ★

  • You are a great friend. (Eres un gran amigo)
  • You are very talented. (Eres muy talentoso)
  • You look tired today. (Te ves cansado hoy)
  • You should try this new restaurant. (Deberías probar este nuevo restaurante)

  • She loves to dance. (Le encanta bailar.)
  • She is studying to be an engineer. (Está estudiando para ser ingeniera)
  • She has a beautiful garden. (Tiene un jardín hermoso)
  • She is talking to me. (Ella está hablando conmigo)

  • We are going to the beach tomorrow. (Vamos a la playa mañana)

Estos pronombres reciben la acción de la oración y nos ayudan a que las oraciones sean más fluidas.

  • Give me the book, please. (Dame el libro, por favor)
  • She told me a secret. (Ella me contó un secreto)
  • The teacher asked me a question. (El profesor me hizo una pregunta)
  • He sent me an email. (Él me envió un correo electrónico)

  • I can't find my keys. Can you help me? (No encuentro mis llaves. ¿Puedes ayudarme?)
  • I'm calling you to say thank you. (Te llamo para darte las gracias)
